Hello Everyone!
This post is long overdue. I've been working on it on and off when I had the free time.
I've also been trying to catch up on my videos as well.
Been a long month, which I talk more about in my next "update" post. Which I'll work on right after this!
For all of my expecting mamas who have been wondering what I carry..
HERE IT IS.
It's not much. I try to only carry the necessities.
ALSO - Keep in mind that this is a baby bag for a 4 month old. As she gets older.. there will be more included, such as toys and teethers and snacks. My bag will most likely change once it needs a lot of things in it.
I could not get a good shot of my diaper bag.
Every shot made it look faded, but what can ya do.
It's all black and turquoise on the inside. Simple and clean coach opt art print.
I don't carry a purse anymore... I just throw my phone and wallet + keys in here!
And prior to Ayva, I wasn't carrying a purse often either.
(little feet kicking near by)
Now for some contents.
- Pamper Sensitive Wipes (72 Pack with top) --- Though I buy the huge big value boxes with the refill tops for home use, I like to coupon for the packs with the lids because they are very convenient for on the go use. They retail for around $2.50-3 each, but after some strategic couponing my sister & I get these for $.27 to $.79 cents each. Not bad! We are big pampers fans in general. These are fragrance free and gentle for the baby booty. Look at those adorable fat giraffes' LOL
-- Pampers Sensitive Swaddler Diapers. As stated in a previous post. Great diapers. Only the best for my little mama! These work so well for her frame and I've had no leaks. The amount they can hold amazes me. Ayva is still wearing newborn size so I can fit a lot in my bag. Because she is a frequent pee'er I carry at least 5 minimum and 12 maximum for any trips out. I love love love the wetness indicator. It goes from yellow to blue when wet and they come in handy! Sadly after size 2, they go bye bye =/ ugh let's not talk about that.
My sister got me into using this. After watching her use it on my niece I couldn't help but catch on. We apply this after every changing to help prevent any diaper rash. As monkey likes to say.. "it waterproofs her butt". Which is true, it acts as a barrier for anything in her diaper. I only use desitin if I see any sort of redness that is concerning to me. No rashes to date. I buy these by the bulk. Literally 9 at a time. Babiesrus and target have good deals every other month. As you've seen in my latest vlog.. I clear half of the shelf. They are currently on their BUY 2 GET 1 FREE deal which is good. Especially if you look up an $1 coupon on google.
And there is the changing mat that comes with the bag to match the interior.
- BabyGanics Foaming Hand Sanitizer.
You never know when you'll need some quick sanitizing! I'm also a fan of the BG line so I tend to have a lot of their things everywhere. (I use their lotion, sunscreen stick and dish soap too)
- Avent Soothie Pacifier.
I have these in every color but blue. (Pink, Purple, Teal) Before giving birth, I had my mind set on no pacifiers. But once I got to know Ayva's personality... she loves to suck on things! Blankets... her hands... anything in front of her! I also read it's natural for a baby to need a pacifier. I never have to use it to keep her from throwing a fit.. more so help when needed. For instance, when she needs to go to sleep but her hands are fully in her mouth, or when we are on an airplane. If you give one to her in the car, she knocks out instantly. I prefer the soothie pacifier because of the shape. It was identical to the bottle nipples she used till 3.5 months so it didn't interfere with bottle or breastfeeding. But I don't plan on keeping the soothie around past 1 year. That's MAX. Luckily she doesn't cry for it. It just comes in handy!
- Wash Cloths
My fav type are by Carter's. I carry at least 2 at all times just in case one falls or gets gross. Comes in handy for spit ups and drooling. (only one yellow one pictured) I don't carry burp clothes often because they rarely get used. Daddy doesn't mind rocking throw up and mommy burps her in a way that the wash cloth can catch anything.
- Blanket
Good for covering the sun from her eyes in her car seat, or giving it to her while it is windy of chilly. It's a very soft quality that isn't too light or too thick. MY FAV type is found at target, by carters. They say "Just for You" on them. Great quality... and her favs as well.
- Bibs?
Currently she doesn't use them often. Very rare. They are a bit big on her so they don't catch much! I prefer just tucking a washcloth underneath her chin. One day the bibs will get used. I have way too many.
- Extra Outfit (not pictured) but needed!
Now onto the feeding related things.

She just started using Playtex Drop In Bottles. The 4oz size, with the disposable drop ins.
Originally I had to switch to the latex nipples shown because silicone (the default type) was too tough for her but now she can do silicone.. but only on medium flow. At least the drop in system is customizable for each baby's needs. I carry 5 extra drop ins with me in my bag for other feedings and a few extra nipples just incase it falls. She drinks about 2.5 oz per feeding now. Gotta love the cute little stars that tell you how much is left. The drop in it self also has measurement markers inside it too. I filled it with some BM just to get a good pic LOL
My on the go bottle warmer. By Tommee Tippee.
It's great! My sister used one so I had to get one.
It is pretty much a super strong thermus.
You pour the water into the white lid... warm the milk or formula and then pour it back in!
The water stays super hot/warm for 12-15 hours in my experience.
This comes in handy when I have to heat refigerated breastmilk that I bring along if her fresh milk won't last for our estimate time out.
Now for how I carry my BM.
Sorry, had to take a pic from babiesrus.
I use the little black bag shown here... with two of the blue icepacks inside. One does fine but I like things extra cold.
---------------------------
Aside form all these lovelt baby things.. I carry a camera, my phone.. the usual.
And that would be it!
I'll be doing a update post with Ayva eye candy soon.
Hope this was helpful!

Her feet are so cute. Babies are a lot to care I had to do that when I would take care of my nephew. Some people can't wait till their little one can talk, can you?
ReplyDeleteI also pump breastmilk for my little boy. He is a month and drinks 3.5 oz each time already.. and he would drink more if I let him.. I know Ayva is tiny.. but is she done after 2.5 oz at 4 months old? I guess I am wondering if mine is eating too much!! lol. he seems very cranky if I give him any less :(
ReplyDeleteHe isn't drinking too much... Whatever makes him happy! Ayva should be drinking more but she throws it all up if we push her to drink more. Your doc will tell you if his weight is getting out f control otherwise his appetite can be any amount :)
DeleteThanks Sam!!
